What Volunteers Get!
Volunteers will be given special access to events, in some cases they will be given registration to events, and they will all have the opportunity to serve those who have served us. All volunteers will be fully vetted by their organization or ours.
Read below to find an opportunity that best fits you:
SHOUT Masters
Street Teams
These volunteers hit local businesses. They ask them to do the following:
- Post a flier in their establishment
- Leave post cards for patrons in their establishment
- Sell 9/11 Stickers to help raise money and awareness
- Purchase a vendor booth by leaving a flier for them and explaining how to register online at www.911unity.org
Social Media
(Need 20 volunteers)These volunteers post already crafted messages on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and many more. They build the number of people that are connected to us, know about us, and are attending our events (including live streaming access) by asking them to register for an event. You only need a computer, email address and internet access!
Media Marketing
These volunteers do a lot of Public Relations. They get the word out by contacting editors, media outlets (TV, Print, Online, Radio and more). They are supplied with scripts, content, PSA’s, press releases, Media Alerts and more. They funnel and direct people who are interested to our Public Relations firm who will close the deal, provide the details and schedule the interviews and content. You only need a phone, computer, email address and internet access!
Blogging
(Need 5 volunteers) These volunteers write blogs, contact other blogs, and post on blogs online in order to get the word out. You only need a computer, email address and internet access!
Posters
(Need 3 volunteers) These people post our events on social calendars online in every city across America; moving from the southwest toward the east coast. You only need a computer, email address and internet access!
Industry Specialists
(Need 10 volunteers) These volunteers contact industry specific groups (Fire Fighters, Police Officers, Military groups, Motorcycle Groups, Run Groups, Bicycle Groups, Equestrian Groups, etc.) via phone, then a follow up email. These volunteers will invite them to get the word out, forward our invitations, volunteer, participate, donate, etc. Scripts are provided, some organizations are provided and the direct link on how to connect with these organizations is provided as well. You only need a phone, computer, email address and internet access!
Giving Gurus
Phone Giving
(Need 20 volunteers) These volunteers ask others to GIVE by contacting them directly and asking them to sponsor one survivor’s health advocacy for $150 - it will go a long way to a survivor still fighting to breathe, a family with Operation Home Front, our military personnel at USO, or a wounded warrior coming home from battle. You only need a phone, computer, email address and internet access!
Box Set Sellers
(Need 20 Volunteers) These volunteers call the local medium to large business and hotels in Las Vegas, as well as major companies in the country and ask them to co-brand and then purchase commemorative box sets for their customers, or team members. The Commemorative Box Set includes 2 9/11 t-shirts, a Kennedy Half Dollar commemorative coin, a collector’s postage stamp (first class). The t-shirts will also have their company name/logo on them as well!! These volunteers will earn 10% of whatever they bring to the charity in ‘sales’. You only need a phone, computer, email address and internet access!
Vendor ‘Vider
(Need 20 volunteers) This volunteer will sell vendor booths for all of our events to local and national vendors who are interested in getting in front of a couple hundred thousand people over a three day weekend in Las Vegas Nevada! Vendor booths range from $500-1,500 dollars. Ordering is all done online. These volunteers will earn 10% of whatever they bring to the charity in ‘sales’. You only need a phone, computer, email address and internet access!
Purchasing Peddler
(Need 30 volunteers) This volunteer will ‘man’ a merchandising booth over the three day weekend at various events. They will process orders at the booths for 9/11 related merchandise. You only need a smile, to be able to stand and count change!
Prime Protectors
Security Surveyors
(Need 50 volunteers) These volunteers will provide security detail over the three day weekend. They will work as a part of 9/11. These volunteers will have special access to various events, will be interview for appropriate detail, and closely monitored to ensure a high standard of work. Seeking women security especially. All volunteers in this detail will be given a set time and place to work that will not cover the whole three day weekend. You only need to be strong, have experience, and be able to listen, follow orders and keep the peace!
Outstanding Operators
Event Volunteers
(Need 50 volunteers) These volunteers will guide participants at various spots throughout the weekend. They will ‘man’ stations, take registrations, provide water/fruit at stations, they will pass out information, guide tourists and participants and patrons. They will smile and inform others. You only need a smile, to be able to stand and direct others based on the detailed information you have about 9/11 and the Vegas events!
